The client
TPRS Glass has supplied industrial, automotive and interior glass for more than 30 years. As the business grew, so did the work of managing a large workforce and many client projects running at the same time.
They came to us with three needs: a better way to run HR for more than 2,000 employees, a system to keep every client project on track, and a website that reflected their standing in the industry.
HRM for a 2,000-person workforce
Shift rosters, payroll and leave for a workforce this size had been taking a large share of the HR team’s time. We built an HRM system around how TPRS Glass actually schedules and pays its people.
- Automated shift scheduling. Shifts are assigned from each day’s requirements and employee availability, without manual juggling.
- Accurate payroll. Pay is calculated from the hours worked, so the HR team no longer has to check every payslip by hand.
- Self-service leave. Employees view balances and request leave themselves, and paid and unpaid leave are tracked automatically.
Project management across many clients
With several projects running at once, management needed one place to see tasks, money and progress for each client.
- Task tracking. Every project is broken into tasks, so the team can see what’s done and what’s next.
- Sales and purchases per project. Project-related sales and purchases are recorded against the project, giving real-time insight into costs and revenue.
- Client visibility. Up-to-date project data for every client makes conversations with clients clearer and faster.
A website that matches the reputation
We redesigned the TPRS Glass website as a clean corporate site that explains the range of products and services, shows their track record and is built to capture enquiries, with search engine optimisation built in.
Within three months of the relaunch, traffic had grown by 300%. Today the site draws around 23.8K organic visits a month, and it is still growing at about 16% month on month (figures from Semrush).
The outcome
Less manual HR work and no payroll errors, a clear view of every project and its finances, and a website that brings in new business. Together they give TPRS Glass a foundation to keep growing.
